Under the (chel)SEA

The Grays may be no Zena Holloway, but an urban retreat in Chelsea is giving us the perfect excuse to pretend regardless!

After time spent in the steam room and sauna, it was time to get active and burn off those Chelsea flower cocktails, creamy banana & Kahlua milkshakes and naughty puddings! Pre Spa, Veet as always was my best friend,  accompanied with its’ hair minimising moisturiser to make legs hair free a little longer. I love that at £1 (from poundlands everywhere)  you get fantastic value for normal to dry skin and means the weekend bag doesn’t require extra depilatory  products.

Now chemically treated hair, combined with chlorine and pool chemicals results in extreme dryness and damage. I am a water baby, I love swimming,  and adore  the sea but would rather go without  the breakage that comes from regular dips. Cue Philip Kingsley! A year ago I discovered ‘Swim cap.’ (Not the colourful rubber head gear that resembles a method of birth control!) Originally made for the US synchronised swim team, it’s a moisturising cream formulation, developed to protect hair from the damage of regular swimming and is a must have to maintain healthy hair in treated water. Containing sunscreen, the cream also makes it the prefect product to limit UV damage to the scalp not only in water but  in high temperatures!
